One outstanding feature of Annapurna Base Camp Trekking is the drastic change is altitude, geography and the human culture and civilization found in the relatively short span of distance of the circuit. Trekkers will experience altitude change from almost 700m to 5400m, where the climate changes from tropical to arctic. Likewise, you will also notice the gradual change in culture as the altitude increases. You will come across villages that have predominantly Hindu culture along the lower foothills while at higher altitude, in places like Mustang and Manang, you will see the Buddhist and Tibetan way of life.
Depending on the starting and ending point, Annapurna Base Camp Trekking can last anywhere between 160-230 km. It is not a short trekking route by any means. However, with a few days of acclimatizing most people will be able to make this trail. Our Annapurna Base Camp Trekking package lasting 20 days will take you through most of the important sites and locations along the circuit including Poon Hill, Ghorepani, Muktinath, Tatopani (where you can bathe in the famous hot springs), Kali Gandaki Gorge, Thorung La Pass. Everest Hiking Treks and Expedition Provide mid - range hotel in Kathmandu – room on twin sharing basis where you will find neat and clean environment. During the trekking – Everest Hiking Treks and Expedition will arrange your accommodation at standard tea house – room on twin sharing basis with attached bathroom however some places will not have attached bathroom so; bathroom are on sharing basis.
All Meals on full board basis will be served during trekking whereas only breakfast will be served in Kathmandu. During trekking, three meals a day will be served from the tea house or lodge menus or local homes. Each day's dinner and breakfast are taken in the same place that we stay the night. Lunch will be taken in a tea shop on the way to the destination.
Transportation / Flight
Private Vehicle - Airport pick up and drop, transfer from Pokhara to Nayapul & Nayapul to Pokhara. Tourist bus from Kathmandu to Pokhara & Pokhara to Kathmandu.
Guide & Porter during the Trekking
Everest Hiking Treks and Expedition will provide a professional government license holder trekking guide. We arrange porter(s) to carry your trekking bag, a porter can carry maximum 19 kg and the porter will accompany with you. The number of porter depends on group size. We will provide the salary, accommodation, insurance, meals for the guide and porter.
All travelers are requested to insure their travel insurance before traveling for Annapurna Base Camp Trekking. Please note that the insurance should be covered medical, air ambulance, helicopter rescue, and all treatment costs.
DAY 01: Arrival in Kathmandu (1,300m/4,264ft)
DAY 02 : Fly to Pokhara (823m/2,700ft), trek to Ghandruk (1940m/6360 ft): 30 minutes flight, 5 - 6 hours trek
DAY 03: Ghandruk to Chhomrong (2170m/7120ft): 5 - 6 hours
DAY 04: Chhomrong to Bamboo (2310m/7578ft): 4 - 5 hours
DAY 05 : Bamboo to Deurali (3230m/10,595ft): 3 - 4 hours
DAY 06 : Deurali to Annapurna Base Camp (4,130m/13,545ft) via Machhapuchhre Base Camp (3700m/12135ft): 5- 6 hours
DAY 07: Annapurna Base Camp to Bamboo: 7 – 8 hours
DAY 08: Bamboo to Jhinu Danda (1760m/5770 ft): 5 - 6 hours
DAY 09 : Trek to Naya Pul then drive to Pokhara: 6 hours trek, 1 hour drive
DAY 10: Fly to Kathmandu
DAY 11: Final Departure
